08/2008: Decide that we will actively pursue pregnancy using Creighton method charting. OBGYN tells us to take a trip to
.... And we wait....
08/2009: First appointment with RE. Incredibly painful HSG shows one partially blocked tube. Surgery recommended. All labs look good. T4 somewhat low.
9/2009: Lap surgery done to remove blockage and check for any other problems. Minor endomitritis found. No endo.
10-11/2009: Go ahead given to start trying again. Charting starts to pick up luteal phase defect.
12/2009: 50mg Clomid. One follicle, luteal phase problem fixed. BFN
01/2o1o: 50mg Clomid. BFN
02/2010: 100mg Clomid. One follicle. BFN.
At this point RE thinks I am also having some ovulation problems, as I am not responding to Clomid like he wants to see. Wants to try a little more aggressive meds to make "good eggs".
03/2010: 100mg Clomid, 100 iu Follistim (cd 8-10). FOUR good follicles!! BFN.
04-06/2010: Take a short break
06/2010: And we're back... 100mg Clomid (cd3-7) and 100iu Follistim (cd8-11)...follie count 3 biggies (22,21,18) and 1 small guy (16).
07/07/2010: BFN. Beta confirms. I guess 7 wasn't my lucky number this month. Thyroid deficiency discovered. Begin synthroid.
08-09/2010: Another fatty break.
10/10: We finally have a real problem! It is discovered that I have a pretty big E2 deficiency. Start taking new meds to beef up the E2.
12/22/10- A suspected blood clot is found in my uterus. Cycle of meds is cancelled.
12/30/10: Uterine growth found.
01/05/11- Surgery to remove a large endometrial polyp.
01/12/11- Three years of married bliss!
01/27/11- RE tells us everything is cleared up. He isn't sure how long the growth has been there, but he does think that is why we have not conceived again. We tell him we would like to take a break.
02-03/2011- Wait it out. Take a deep breather. Continue Creighton charting. Charts and BBT indicate I am not ovulating on my own.
04/2011- After two anovulatory cycles, we decide to do an unmonitored cycle of 100mg Clomid. What harm can there be?
04/01/11- Send Creighton charts and medical records for Dr. Hilgers for consultation.
04/26/11- Recieve Dr. Hilgers recommendations and begin the process of getting in to see him!
08-09/2011- Start monthlong hormone panel series. All sorts of hormonal issues.
10/12/11- Surgery #3 - Laparoscopy with Dr. Hilgers. Learn that I have issues that need to be corrected with surgery #4.
10/24/11 - Surgery #4 - Robotically-assissted surgery: 6 incisions and 6.5 hours of surgery later, all endometriosis is gone, ovaries each were resected, appendix removed.
11/11 (Cycle 1 after surgery) - Ampicillin CD1-10. Temp/pulse monitored so I can start my new thyroid meds.
